3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
660 ml bottle @ Christianssand Brygghus. A dark amber body with a dense beige head. Aroma of light roasted malt, caramel and fruity hops. Flavor is nice roasted malt, citric fruity with pleasant bitterness. Nothing really complicated here, but delicately balanced mix of dark malt and hops at a modest alcohol level. Nice, tasty, pleasant and impressive.

Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts wood, vanilla, light roast, piney hop, little grassy. Happy for the black IPA tick. Palate is medium light bodied, tangy hop bitterness, moderate to low carbonation.

Nearly black, with a big off-white head like cappuccino foam. Body is creamy which makes it on the full side of medium. Hoppy aroma, followed by smoky flavours, vanilla, coffee and orange. Like a porter marinaded with orange slices - very nice.

Tap @ the Taphouse Sydney. Dark black with cream coloured head that retains well. Pale ale aromas and front palate - citrus blossom, stone fruit and passionfruit. The roasted malts come into the mid palate nicely and it's all finished off with a grassy hop finish.
