Awesome aroma, hops, coffee roasted malts and chocolate all mingle into one to produce a nice sweet aroma. Bitter sweet and smooth. Finnish has a nutty component just slightly.†Very sessionable.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
660ml bottle bought at Ale&Hop, Barcelona. Aroma: coffee, fresh malts. Appearance: dark brown, soft bronze tones. Creamy foam, quite a contrast between liquid and foam. Seems like a cappuccino. Taste: coffe, dark chocolate. Palate: not much alcoholic persistance, hoppy ending. Overall: this is great stuff.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Ale&Hop in Barcelona.
It pours brown and gets black in the glass.
Floral and fruity aromas coming out form the creamy beige foam, which persists in the glass. Roasty and coffee palate and a bitter ending that persists in the aftertaste.

A Mes rate. Cask at CP&K thanks to Ian.
Deep mahogany with a thin off white head. Stunning big bitter hops and chewy black malt. Grass and chocolate and lots of it. Soooo much bitterness but itís still perfectly balanced. Iím really struggling to describe this very well. How about this? This is the best example of a black IPA brewed in England that I have had. Perfectly true to style. Absolutely excellent.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
LIVE RATING: Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 29th November 2010. Handsomely black with rich pale-brown head of foam giving some lacing. Very fruity aroma with berry bouquet and a floral hop accompaniment. The in-mouth experience is exquisite. Grassy hoppiness, berry fruits and a good grounding of roasted malts. These all working side by side without clashing, an amazing feat by the brewer. The next thrill is the rich, bitter finish giving pleanty of whole-mouth flavour and lasting a satisfying time. The brewer says this beer is only available for limited periods, GO for it when you see it!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at The Clachlan, London. Pours dark brown with a thick, creamy beige head. Aroma is a beauty, tons of rich, roasted mocha with pine and mild grapefruit poking through. Flavor is really fantastically well balanced. There is lots of dry, roasted malts, subtle cocoa and scorched earth, some tar, leaves and pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Touches of smoke to finish, more dry roasted malts, baking cocoa, bitterness of florals, pine and earth. Very solid beer.
