Superb hoppy fruity flavour with a really good aroma. A top pint for those that like American style hops

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2011 Draught @ Brasserie 4:20 (Rome) - Another incredible golden ale by Moor, sincerely I prefer the Southern Star Cask I had some weeks ago, but this one is great too! Fresh, elegant, quite perfect. The aroma is intense, light but perfectly balanced, honey, apple, grapefruit and hops. I think I could drink 10 pint and I would have mo(o)re!

Damn fine. Great APA. Hop head bliss. Low on malt, just the way I like it. Fantastic taste considering the lower abv - which is no bad thing.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
04/02/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Freschissima, pulita, elegante e beverina.

66cl bottle (nice & fresh). Pours light gold with thin white head - plenty of lacing. Aroma is delicious: lots of wonderful mango, lime, tangerine, floral notes, pine needles and spruce. Taste follows suit with an incredible hit of citrus, pine resin and loads of delectable tropical fruit (pineapple and mango especially). Such wonderful pale malt character - just a touch of biscuit sweetness in there to frame the amazing hop hit. Residual pine & citrus character & a lingering bitterness on the palate. Medium/thin mouthfeel, perfect carb. Finish is crisp and dry. My good lord, this is incredible. I could drink this all day long for ever more. Tomorrow i’m going out to buy as many of these as I can carry. Moor, once again, you have excelled yourselves.

Cask-conditioned @ Brasserie 4:20....A metà strada tra l’Inghilterra ed il Belgio, una Golden Ale assolutamente godibile e beverina (anche troppo :)) ), fantastica la luppolatura che emerge al naso!

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2013 660 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy bright yellow colour with a thick white head. Aroma of juicy orange fruitiness, hops, green apples, some honey and flowers. Flavour of strong and crisp floral and citrusy bitterness, pale malts, orange, pungent grapefruit, pine, hay and very delicate sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and a very crisp, lingering, dry, floral, grapefruity finish. After five minutes the bitterness is still lingering on. The bitterness here is better than on many APA?s or even IPA?s. Excellent golden ale with very prominent bitterness and excellent drinkability. I could drink this every day. Hopheads - have this.
Cask @ Ale & Hop, Barcelona
Compared to the bottle version this one feels much stronger hop-wise, and I heard this cask is a fresh one. Much stronger bitterness with mellow caramel notes and herbs. Drinkability is so good I had to take a couple of pints more just to make sure I’m right. The best golden ale I’ve had so far.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hand pulled at the Old Contemptibles, Birmingham. Bright yellow, with white fluff. Smells deliciously inviting. Flavour is light and airy, but packed with deep, rich lemony hop zing. Some dusty sourness peaks round the curtains mid-way, but the full fresh hops reemerge through the satisfying finish. Really, really good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at The Pontefract Castle, London. Pours a clear, pale gold with a medium, white head. Glorious nose of fresh grass, grapefruit, straw and crackers. Flavor follows through well with a really meaty bitterness of ripe citrus and grass, along with sun-kissed malts and grain. Light to medium bodied with fine, delicate carbonation. Clean, dry and fresh finish, some lovely citrus, almost tangy, and lingering grass. Mild sugar balances it out. This is really superb stuff.
