A very hoppy and refreshing bitter, brewed to celebrate the revival of the brewery, and meant to revive you when you need it. Light in colour but not flavour thanks to a blend of Pale, Lager, Cara, Crystal and Wheat malts. The hops are a blend of American varieties, with American-style yeast providing a crisp finish. For a beer relatively low in alcohol it has a very full flavour and drinks well above its strength, earning it a multitude of awards and setting the standard for the style. A modern classic!

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria (Unfined Version) A hazy pale amber colour with a foamy off white head. Aroma of peach, grapefruit, lemon zest, some wood, slight tea, maybe subtle pine and spicy, earthy hops. Taste of peach, grapefruit, lemon, more tea, caramel sweetness, subtle wood, pine and spicy, earthy hops. Light bodied and an oily texture. A dry, peppery, earthy bitterness in the finish. Doesn’t look appealing but a cracking session ale! Great hop character, citrusy fruits and some malt sweetness. Delicious.

On the bottle listed as a Pale Ale, and with the American hops maybe APA may have been a better choice than bitter. Great little beer that is refreshing cleansing on the palate.

Cask @ Joshua Brooks, Manchester. Slightly hazy golden-yellow ale with a thin head. Has a full fruity taste with lots from the tropics, and a nose to match. Easy drinking in the palate with its low-strength.

Pours a bit hazy orange. Nose has some light citrus hops. Taste has hay, some dry fruitiness and even more citrus. Very nicely drinkable but still has character. I could be drinking this by pints. Simple but good.
