2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours red mahogany with little head that leaves no lace. Aroma is faint hazelnuts and earthy notes. Lightly bitter and lightly sweet, watery body, flavors of hazelnuts and coffee, oily texture, average to light carbonation and a lightly somewhat sticky bitter finish. Ho hum.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to Seanyfo. The Beer is very dark, white-beige head. malty-chocolate smell. The beer starts a bit watery, malty. Dry. The mainpart is medium-deep, a bit roasted, very dry. But not very deep. In the aftertaste hazelnut, roasted malt dominate. The nutty aroma lasts long with dry roasted malts.
--> Nice aroma, but could be a bit more deep.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from B&M, Stockton. Pour deep mahogany with a big foamy tan head that lasts well. Has a quite thin and watery feel, which isnít surprising considering the strength. Good flavours though. Quite dry with plenty of malt and a hint of chocolate and coffee.

500 ml bottle. Pours dark brown/black with a thin wispy head that leaves a tiny collar. Aroma has strong English malt and bitter bakers chocolate. Taste is bitter up front with malt and more chocolate and more hops in the finish. Palate is thin and chalky. Solid!

Bottle at draught 55. Pours dark ruby with light nose of cholate malts. Tastes of chocolate, dark fruits, molasses, and cola. Nice and mild but with good flavor. I have been craving this style as of late

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
pours an opaque brown with a thick creamy tan head...nice lacing and retention. aroma has chocolate...like tootsie rolls...and earthy dry leaves...just a light touch of hops. flavor follows suit...nice balance...leaning just a bit to the hoppy side but not excessively bitter. true to style. mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is earthy/hoppy with a touch of chocolate...dries and lingers with hoppy/roastiness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear very dark brown beer with a frothy beige head. A light, malty aroma. Thereís a bit hit of malt on the tongue and a slight chocolatey hint to it with a hoppy edge as well. The aftertaste is a sort of hoppy, coffee blend. Itís lighter than I was expecting too, both in terms of strength and body.
