| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 30, 2004 Brownish black with ruby edges, average light tan head. Soft aromas of molasses, fudge, grass, and vanilla. Even for a mild, it's virtually flavorless- mineral water spiked with stale instant coffee. Also tastes like it came out a can, kind of tinny and cidery. Mild aftertaste of coffee grounds and copper. Completely bland and forgetable. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 17, 2004 Bottle: Pour is black and oily with virtually no head. The aroma is malt and a hint of chocolate. The taste is a delicious and refreshing bitter malt. Outstanding flavor with no offensive aftertaste. Just great. Wakie (612), Centreville, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 27, 2004 A nice darker beer that left an interesting smoked taste in my mouth. Kind of a blend of coffee and smoked foods. I must admit I missed the chocolate in it. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Aroma is that of choclate and coffe and the flavor is of that as well. This is a nice refreshing brew, but the aftertaste is not that desirable. clutchrogers (90), Broussard, Louisiana, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2004 A bit of a different label as the kitty is now shown in a snobbish-siloette that reminds me of my own black cat.
Pours a black, or at least a really dark brown with a decent head that left some lacing.
Aroma is mostly of heavily roasted malt, but even that is not very strong.
Flavor is, well, watery for the most part. There’s a light roasted flavor, coffee, caramel, with some very faint fruit esters.
Palate is thin yet carbonated, but it has a very nice mineral mouthfeel. Overall it’s okay. Not overly exciting yet interesting, and with the (extremely) low alcohol content, this would be a good beer to drink whilst doing other things. Give it a try.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 20, 2004 Bottle. A dark brown color with a creamy light brown head.
Thin in body, but it has a smoked malt flavor on a blackened toast base. It may be faint praise, but this one had more flavor than I expected.
