Dark brown in color, decent sized tan head that faded quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was malty roasty with a hint of dark chocolate and coffee. The taste was coming off as malty and roasty with a faint amount of chocolate and mild coffee tones as well. There is a slight metallic side to this brew that detracts from the over all flavor of this brew. But i have to say this hasn't been a total loss as the price was right and it's worth trying at least once, and to some one else this might be the real deal. For me it just doesn't get there.

(bottle) Very deep brown. Faint aroma. Roast malt flavors akin to a porter, but not as much body.

I kept tasting a metalic taste and was surprised how thin it was. Certainly not bad but not worth the premium it cost.

Bottle at Union Jack's in Knoxville, TN. Deep brown color with a thicky, creamy like tan head. Malty, caramel aroma. Odd flavor, u[ front and no finish. Expected more from this.

Pours a nice dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is sweet and chocolately Mouthfeel is a bit watery. Finish is a little salty. This is an ok beer. Nothing to write home about.

Dark brown with caramel edges. Thick tan head with decent lacing. Has a malty nutty aroma with a hint of cocoa. Thin palate with a metallic flavor. Has a light roasted malt flavor but really weak and watered down.

Pours a dark brown with a nice head that doesn't leave much lacing on the glass. I was disappointed to learn that this brew only had 3.4% abv, so this may skew my rating. The aroma was a bland dark malt, but nothing much more. The mouthfeel is thin as the beer seems a little watered down. Pretty bland overall. The flavor didn't show me much - hints of chocolate and roasted malts, but nothing to write home about.

A malty Ale that is fine, just doesn't jump out and grab you. Worth a try!
