Itís lower abv lets it down a bit imo. Yeast derived aromas, some leather, olive and brown sugar notes detected with a watery mouth feel. Ok for a mid strength.

I love this beer, 3.4% but still decent body, Grainy roasty dry chocolate dominates the flavour and itís awesome! Blends wonderfully with the hops, well balanced, and very smooth finish. A classic English dark mild.

Pored a dark brown with ruby highlights. Clear with a tan head that quickly disolved. Hints of chocolate and moderate maltiness, also some background hints of raisin, no hop aroma. Light bodied with low carbonation, hints of chocolate and some wet papery oxidation, probably due to age. Overall a nice mild, would like to try a fresher version.

@ Greens Discount Liquor / Columbia SC --- Clear very dark ruby with a tiny rim head, no lace. Taste is light malt that quickly into the palate where a thin veneer of roasted chocolate adds body to the brew. The finish is more smooth than hoppy. This is the epitome of session beer. I could drink several 17 oz. bottles in one sitting without missing a beat. Also good with cheese and white crackers, and it even works well with sliders from White Castle. Very successful at what it attempts to be.
