blklab2007 (798), Connecticut, USA Jun 25, 2009 bottle poured a nice light brown in color with a thin tan head that held a ring on the glass. aroma has nutty toasted malt, chocolate, and a bit of earthy hops. mouth feel is medium and the carbonation on the low side. flavor has a nice nuttiness, chocolate malt, light roast, caramel, and the slightly bitter earthy malt. really glad I got to try this, plenty of flavor and low in alcohol. I wish there was more of this style to be readily found because this would be in my house all the time. Rciesla (2800), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Jun 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber brown body with a tan head. Some light chocolate malt, light peat, some minerals, and a hint of licorice. Nice but the body was really thin. The aroma is very nice, like a porter, notes of chocolate, brown sugar, malty. The appearance is beautiful, a nice dark brown, moderate tan head. The flavor, and forgive me for saying this, is mild. Definite notes of chocolate, some roastyness, but thin, almost watery. It’s not quite a session beer, since I could probably knock back 6 or 7 of these and not feel it, and I think you should be feeling the beer by the end of a session. But it is enjoyable, and goes down easy. The finish has very little in the way of hops, just a slight twinge, and some residual roastyness again. Thin mouthfeel. I’m glad I got to try this, since Milds are VERY hard to come by here in the US. I definitely enjoyed it. Grovlam (3740), Copenhagen, Denmark May 1, 2009 Bottle [Courtesy of Paul, thanks buddy for bring this excellent stuff] Light bubbly off-white like head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Brown color. Aroma was quite complex for a 3.4% beer with notes of dusty hoppy feel, mild bitter chocolate like notes. Quite flavorful and lovely tasting. Over the palate came also notes of roasted and light dry notes properly a combination of the malt and hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and light dry texture. Light to moderated sweet and bitter flavor well balanced. Light dry and dusty hoppy floral finish. yespr (10088), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 19, 2009 50 cL bottle, courtesy of Paul. Pours dark brown with a light orange glare and a small white head. Roasted and dry aroma. Roasted, breadish and dark roasted malt flavoured. Roasted and slight acidic finish. Nice one. kempicus (350), Wellington, New Zealand Apr 6, 2009 Wow...really wished i hadn’t shared this now....i’ think i’ll get some more this beer it’s fantastic! Amazing nose on it, roasted chocolate....this is dead set the best mild i’ve had, there’s no way you’d know it was 3.4% because it has such a full body...it’s also got a great hoppy finish that i wasn’t expecting too....i need to try this on cask! blutt59 (1638), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 4, 2009 bottle, good dark amber color with tan foam, aromas of dusty cocoa, flavor of chocolate, some maltiness, roasty, finish is pretty good
