yngwie (3342), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 7, 2008 Bottle at Cockney Pub, Århus. Pours a clear, almost black body with a small beige to tan head. Lightly roasted and toffeeish aroma, sure on the malty side, but with a little fruits and hops in the background. Chocolate and toffee, some roasted malt and coffee notes in the flavor. Not much fruityness or hoppy bitterness here either. Watery mouthfeel. Roasted finish. Boring but drinkable. Session style, not by-the-fireplace style. (080517) azlondon (463), Greater London, England Jun 27, 2008 Appearance: Dark brown. Little bit of head.
Aroma: Burnt malts. Chocolate.
Taste: Malt and chocolate. Bitter aftertaste. Not that fizzy.

BMan1113VR (669), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Jun 18, 2008 My last style to finish (all 71 Beers, plus Sakes, Ciders, and Mead)! Pours with a rocky, off-white head covering a near black body. Head diminishes to some waves and a ring that leaves some lacing. Aroma is strongly toasted and roasted malts, chocolate, and raisins. Taste is extremely powerfull for the ABV (but in the grand scheme, quite bland). Lots of malts, slightly chocolate and coffee rind. Not really any hops in the slightest. Watery and thin (where the lack of alcohol really shows), a biut too bubbly. alexanderj (1197), Roanoke, Virginia, USA Jun 15, 2008 Bottle; poured a red tinted black, not much hea. Aroma was very roasted with some meat and licorice hints. Flavor was very roasted with some chocolate and a minimal hop finish. Palate was watery and thin. Unoffensive, but not great and pretty bland.
