2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brown 500ml bottle, best before the end of Dec 2010, drank and reviewed 9 Nov 2010. Poured into an ’Abbot Ale’ glass tankard.
Very light golden hue to the beer, a good well formed foaming, white head.
No real aroma from my tankard, hints of hops and citrus esters, but very little to get excited about.
The taste is a mild hop flavour, no depth, but pleasant enough, the mouth drys and the hops give a bitter aftertaste. The faint citrus smells mentioned earlier turn into a true flavour mid-drink.
I bit too dry and without any malt influence for my taste. Nothing wrong with the beer, just not my sort of regular choice in a brew.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Light carbonation and lacing. Bland aroma of lemon, grain and faint caramel. Boring but drinkable - flavour of musty lemon and straw. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation. Not a great beer by any means, but certainly better than their Pendle Witches Brew.

500ml bottle. Pours clear copper with a good white head. Aroma of straw, hops and iron. Flavours are pretty generic but well balanced. Mild to moderate malt, floral flavours, straw, a slight hint of citrus and a moderate bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A simple but pleasant session beer.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Smells like an ordinary lager, tastes like a Czech lager, with a more resinous palate than a lager. Overall, it seems to be neither one nor the other. Unsatisfactory. In a way, it’s a bit like the label: cute from a far, but far from being cute.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle): Pours a clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of floral hops, malt and bread. A pleasantly hoppy, floral taste with hints of elderflower and citrus fruits. Faint background of some malt. Very refreshing and drinkable beer, very suitable for people turning away from the rubbish lagers.

Bottle from B&M Bargains; clear golden pour with white frothy head, difficult to detect any significant aroma just a feint whiff of malt, taste like a decent quality macro pale lager, malts, tiny hop, some skunkiness.
