Moorhouse’s first ever ‘Blond’ ale, this beer is as light as you can get with a lager colour (minus the bubbles). Drinks to the strength of any good White Witch.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is quite yeasty with a farmyard quality. Lemon and caramel aromas and flavours also. Mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

Cask at a pub in Bacup, Lancashire whilst following the famous Bacup Coco-Nutters around for the pubs of this town for the day Easter Saturday 07.04.12 Pale lemon in colour with a white head, good clarity, great condition. Hoppy and crisp with lemon most noticeable amongst the citrus flavours. Touch soft in mouth also but one of the better beers of the day. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.6

(Cask at Black Door, 20120306) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small, sparse and white. Aroma had sweetness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, hops, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. Nice hoppiness but other flavours were too thin.

Cask. Lager-yellow with a white topping. Minimal carbonation. Aroma struggles to get through the head to the nose, but in the mouth you've got zests, summery fruits, mango, peach, pear. A nice mellow drinking bitter. Could easily session this.

tombyars (1512) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 13, 2012
Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in October 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Sweet fruit aroma with peach and elderflower notes evident. Refreshing but thin mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malts give a delicate fruit note of lychees, gooseberry and elderflower cordial. Floral aromatic hops in the dusty aftertaste compliment the malt well. Sweet fruit notes of syrupy tropical fruit salad gives long juicy notes full in the mouth. An excellent summer session Golden Ale, highly recommended.
