Moorhouse’s first ever ‘Blond’ ale, this beer is as light as you can get with a lager colour (minus the bubbles). Drinks to the strength of any good White Witch.

Cask at The Fat Badger, Harrogate. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size lasting creamy white head. Good lacing. Aroma’s quite mild, a touch sweet, grainy and lightly hoppy. Flavour of malt first followed by a decent amount of hops and some citrus fruit. Light to average bodied. Just good, a good Golden Ale.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours light gold with a small, white and foamy head. Aroma is faintly floral with some straw. Flavor is sweet with cereal, creamy and wet grains, a bit of white sugar, some almost rotten lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, has some very light hops present, sugary malts like cereal, hay and some grain. Not superb but after awhile I get used to it. I’m not sure what that says about the beer, and I’m certainly not sure what that says about me.
