3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours light gold with a small, white and foamy head. Aroma is faintly floral with some straw. Flavor is sweet with cereal, creamy and wet grains, a bit of white sugar, some almost rotten lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, has some very light hops present, sugary malts like cereal, hay and some grain. Not superb but after awhile I get used to it. I’m not sure what that says about the beer, and I’m certainly not sure what that says about me.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A sorry looking, hazy straw colour with a thin cream head; weak cereal aroma; some citrus flavours over a floury grain body; and an unmemorable, sweet, finish. Badly conditioned or a feeble attempt at a Blond Ale.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2011 Cask, Cross Keys. Half.
Good white lacing, fruity elderflower aroma, low particles, grapefruit, strawberry, elderflower, some cream and a hint of Diacetyl on the tongue, some sharp texture which ruins the palate for me. Very fine initially but succumbs so expect it to be at the end of the cask or an epic fail by spoons in terms of conditioning.
Cask - Queen’s Head - Chelmsford - 11th January 2011
Copper-gold colour; floral and honey aroma. Taste is honey, straw, grapefruit, mango, really tropical for an English bitter. Fruity finish and clean and refreshing. Ideal for the summer. 7-3-8-3

Very light straw colour with surprisingly big head for the style. Quite light, grassy and citrusey, not massively biter. Decent.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear pale gold body with short lasting head. A little bit grassy on the aroma with some grapefruit in the taste, fairly simple and light but bloody easy to drink. Also pick up the salt that other raters mention.
