COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Moorhouse’s first ever ‘Blond’ ale, this beer is as light as you can get with a lager colour (minus the bubbles). Drinks to the strength of any good White Witch.

Half pint on gravity at The Ipswich Beer Festival. Pale brown. Low head. Herbal aroma. Spicy-fruity taste with accents of figs and caramel. Medium palate. Quite interesting drink with a good name (21.09.2006).

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2011 Cask handpull at Man of Kent, East Peckham. Golden, lasting white head. Citrus hop aroma with yeast. Creamy in mouth, nice lemony citrus and juicy finish. Very drinkable summer beer, bit of wheat in here maybe. Very drinkable

Cask, Tut n’ Shive, Doncaster. Light straw colour, thin white head. Very light aroma, touch dusty. Some bitter hop. Took an age to settle. Taste is.. wow, surprising. Malt and sweet hop. Almost like a Yorkshire mild. Sweet, slight bitter finish. Something I can’t put my finger on in the taste still, really interesting fruit. Strawberries.

Honey nose with some floral notes. Pours pale with fluffy white head and good lace. Taste is dry and hoppy but with a little astringency in the finish. Not bad but not great.

[Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm] Clear pale golden. Light, sweet citric aroma. Watery, sourish with vague fruit notes. The bitterness is hard to track behind the oxidation.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear golden. Light orange aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Quite fruit. Where the nose is sweet and malty the finish is dry and herbal with grassy bitterness.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour. Starts fruity (citrus) and rather sweet. Becomes drier and more bitter towards the finish. Drinkable and tasty.

Blonde... Some head. Mildly fruity, milky malts and a bitter finish. Reasonably balanced for a blonde/golden ale from Britain.

Cask (gravity dispense) at GBBF, August 2005. Another decent golden ale, but rather overshadowed by the Pictish Alchemists sampled at the same time. There’s not as much depth of flavour and aroma as the Pictish and its a touch more malty. Otherwise, clean, fresh and thirst quenching.
