sm89walt (173), Norwich, Norfolk, England May 7, 2008 Cask - ’Spoons. A clear golden beer with a dense white head. Sweet malty nose with mild citric notes. Dry, citrusy flavours with some grassyness and a dry hop bitterness in the finish. Soft and rounded mouthfeel. A refreshing summer pint.
tarjei (1131), Bryne, Norway Jul 2, 2008 Draugth 1/2 pint at Pivo Cafe Bar in York. Hazy yellowish color, lovely white head. Aroma is malty and fruity, with hops. Flavor is the same, with hints of honey. Nice that hot summers day. DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Jun 26, 2008 Nuneaton ’Spoons whilst Octo shopped. Straw with white collar, faintly woodsy aroma, lacework aplenty. Negligible soapy Fairy Liquid hopping, oaty softness, peanut husk. Refreshing and all that but pretty crap really. Tires over a half. bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jun 17, 2008 Handpulled cask at Lloyds no 1 (JDW) Watford. Nice looking beer, pale yellow with good dense head leaving lots of lacing. Malty with northern style hop bitterness. Very drinkable but not particularly distinctive. maeib (3917), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jun 9, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig & Pen, Northampton. A straw coloured beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma is hoppy grassy notes. The taste is lagerish with lemony notes. Served pretty cold, I guess deliberately, light bodied but quaffable enough. renffisch (406), london, Greater London, England May 11, 2008 pint at jdw. perfect condition, was impressed. aromas of flowery hop and sunscreen (latter might have been me :-) it was a hot day). Very wheaty, light good bitterness, is going down like a treat. Fresh, clean perfect summer pint.
