3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours with a decent, somewhat off-white, head. It's duration is average. My nose isn't working to well but the ale smells sweet. The taste is enjoyable with the malts standing out. There are just enough hops to make this beer not tip too far on the malty side. The palate is all malt and is also enjoyable. Hey, this a well rounded brew. Probably would go great with fried or grilled foods. Maybe has a little too much carbonation.

Bottle from Booths. Amber with a rapidly diminishing head. Light malt aroma with a hint of citrus and plums - though this deScription is slightly biased after reading the tasting notes 1001 Beer to Drink before you Die! Good malty body, bitter yet sweet. Nice fruity notes. A decent ale.

500ml bottle, 2007 aged, @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, May 15, courtesy of Mike. Cobweb nose, murky dusty taste. Not a fair tasting admittedly. Definitely not aged well.

Enjoyable strong English ale served in a pint .9 fl oz bottle. Found this on a clearance rack at Wines and More in Mansfield MA and took a chance. Slightly fruity, slightly malty. Cloudy amber color. A nice ale.
