An exceptionally fine balance of malt and hops give this beer a long dry and extremely satisfying finish.

Soft black tea aroma, sweetened with maybe raisins or cranberries. Simple watery palate. Dullish taste, bit of twigginess. Classic boring English bitter. Quality for those who crave no excitement at all. You could session this without niticing it, certainly. Finish has some light milky grains, but is eminantly forgettable. Maybe some dryness and fustiness. Hint o forest mushroom, maybe. But Iím clutching at spores...

Last pint of the day, so no proper rating available due to partial memory corruption. Poured an average looking real ale with a foamy head. Canít remember the aroma, except that it was somewhat fruity and it had some floral notes. Flavour had hops and it wasnít too malty. Thatís all I remember. Overall a clean real ale without off-flavours.

On cask @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours a light amber colour with a decent head. The nose has a little bit of citrus with some biscuits. The taste has more of the same. The palate is light to medium bodied and fairly fresh. Easy drinking citrus and malt and hard to distinguish.

Gravicask at the National Winter Ales Festival. Bright amber coloured body. Naked at the top. Malt-fruity nose. Dried fruity taste with hints of almond and caramel, rather jam-like. Good bitter finish. Likable (Manchester, 23.01.2013).

Cask by handpump at Haymarket Bar, Edinburgh - clear deep golden, creamy off-white head, mild cereal aroma, good lacing, flavour of wheat, cereal, bit of lemon, dry finish, bitter cereal linger

Cask handpull, The Red Deer, Sheffield, 01/01/13. Lager gold topped with lacing white. Beeswax and thistle sap aroma. Soft mouthfeel and condition; delicate (you might say bland) lemon, grass, honey and dandelion notes. Bit corny. Just a beer.

Aroma: Light aroma of straw and grain.

Appearance: Clear golden body wit a frothy white head that quickly fades. No visible carbonation. Decent lacing.

Taste: Grainy, bitter and metallic tasting. Horrible.

Palate: Thin body with a watery texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: Truly disgusting. This tasted off.

Taste as aroma, some light caramel malt, not interesting
Palate - soft carb, thin body, bit oily. Finish - dry, cereal bitter malt, dry tail

Cask at the Red Lion, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. Clear copper coloured pour, thin white glass hugging head. Malty aroma with a dry hoppy flavour that sucked the moisture from my mouth! It was reminiscent of a red wine overflowing with tannins. A very tasty session ale.
