Cask at Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Decent stuff. Toasty malts, dry leaves, toasty bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately drying on the finish with light sweetness, toasted leaves. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Reddish amber with a decent, off-white head. Caramel, a touch of orange marmalade, solid malts, a hint of roast and a gently bitter finish. Good.

Cask. Lightly hazy nutty brown with a creamy beige head leaving laces. Rather rustic aroma, overripe fruit, caramel and wood. Medium-bodied, low carbonation, nutty accents, lightly oxidized, lightly tart and plenty of overripe fruit. Some hops appearing late. Interesting and very rustic - Old Ale I’d say. 211112

Clear amber coloured with a medium sized off-white head.
Fruity aroma of hops, spices and grass with notes of sulphur and rubber.
Fruity flavour of hops and grass with notes of caramel and eucalyptus.
Dry hoppy finish.

Dark red brown colour with smallish head.
Aromas of roast malt and caramel,bit of chocolate.The malt,caramel and chocolate tastes are all there with a little toffee.Pleasant drink but flavour not as full as it could be.

Cask, 1/3 pint at JDWs Victoria Station. Clear, dark brown. Fragile patches on the surface. Spotty lacing. Smell of dark fruits and earthy malts. The flavour is malt-fruity creating a jam-liked taste. Mild roasted malts beneath. Fruity bitterness to the ending. An extra score for the name. Above par among the festival beers (London, 02.11.2012).

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. An amber beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of flowers, malt, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruits, malt, and flowers, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.
