UPDATED: JUL 26, 2012 Cask. Half pint. 5.Jul.2012 My first beer after a pleasant and interesting walk with Rune & Stefan to The Crescent in Salford, Manchester. I decided to start the day with White Which because of the name, as I loved watching Narnia when I was little. It turned out to be a good choice. Clear yellow body with spare creamy head. Cheese, sweat, damp basement and mold to the nose. Thus the taste was a surprise, sweet and malty, some grain, vanilla, flowers and hint of herbs. Surprisingly full bodied!

Dusky light golden yellow in appearance. Very fruity, sweet aroma. A bit creamy smelling. Tangy on the tongue. Unusual taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at Argyll Arms. Pale orange, clear, still, small thin white head. Aroma is peppery. Body is medium to light, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is sweet malt, lemon and mixed citrus, grape juice, musty, a little resinous, light bitterness. In great nick. Sessionable.

Cask@The Sugarloaf, City, London - golden pour with white head. Aroma and taste is citrus fruity and medium sweet malty, lovely citrus lemon and tangerine notes, grassy and floral, highly quaffable, and in such beautiful condition. Sometimes you just cant beat a great conditioned cask golden ale, this was such an example.

Cask conditioned handpump Old Contemptibles Birmingham 24/02/14. A light golden coloured beer. A good citrus hoppy aroma and taste. Nice sticky marmalade notes. A good balance. Tasty and well constructed golden ale.

Tasted this in Tennent’s Bar, Glasgow on 3rd March 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear straw in colour with a thin creamy white head. Hint of wheat grain and boiled eggs in the short lived aroma. Thin but refreshing, resiny mouthfeel and superb lacing throughout. Pale malts give a huge whack of juicy fruit flavours full in the mouth, with lychees and gooseberry to the fore. Floral hop resins deliver a dry dusty note to the short aftertaste. Finish is slightly edging towards the malt with lychees evident again and a subtle note of dry oak cask present in the palate. This is a decent session Golden Ale and well recommended.
