glennmastrange (394), hobe sound, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of dark bread and caramel, light herbs for the hops, and dough for the yeast, with notes of wood, brown sugar and sour milk. Head is small, fizzy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is clear light brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, and finishes moderately acidic, lightly bitter and a little sour. Palate is light to medium, watery but a little creamy and has a carbonation between soft and lively. It finishes lightly astringent and drying. Not too much to look at, and simple flavors and aromas, but still a good drinking beer. kiefdog (402), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2008 50cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a translucent dark amber color with a thick white head that settles slowly. Aroma is musty and fruity with notes of wood, roasted malt and yeast. Light to medium body with a quick finish. beachbum25 (596), Powellville, Maryland, USA Jul 20, 2008 500 ML bottle-Clear copper color w/a slight tan head. Roasted malt aroma. Thin, watery roasted malt flavor w/some nuts, rye, caramel, & bread dough. Mouthfeel was very thin, tasted like a watered down Alt. This needed some more punch to it & some bitterness on the finish. Don’t know if this is just how these beers are as it’s my first Keller, but I wasn’t impressed. pforei (335), USA Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Dark copper color moderate head. Caramel and bready lager aroma. Some spice/peppery hops upon taste and finish. Thin and soft mouthfeeel.
