3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flip top bottle marked use before 10/06. Appearance was a huge frothy, fizzy white head that mostly diminished, lackluster lacing, hazy, and a hue of light yellow. The nose was sweet, banana, clove, citrus and a note of spiceynes. The flavor was sweet, light spice, some banana and a hint of clove. Smooth mouthfeel. Light body. An easy drinking brew as it goes down almost too easy. Worth a try.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Flip top bottle served in a weizen glass: Poured a hazy golden hue with a lasting frothy head and good lace. The aroma has the nice components of banana, clove, and bubblegum esters. A touch citric and wheat vapors as well. The taste is lightly spiced, fruity and wheaty. A solid combination but lack in the quality of depth of the best of genre. There is a note of refreshing twang on the palate. A solid bier and worthy of a try.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nothing like a good Hefe on a hot summer day, and this will do just fine.
With frothy malts with fruits and cloves.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
bottle. Aroma: More clove than banana here, although both are noticeable. Grainy wheat and some light citrus. Appearance: Slightly hazy and pale yellow in color. Head was big, but didnít look as ímousse-yí as it should have. Didnít last long, either. Flavor: Again, the clove jumps out. It isnít intense, it just seems so compared to the rest of the weak flavors. Light banana, lemon, vanilla, and grainy wheat. Palate: Medium-light bodied and watery. High carbonation. Finish was watery, as well. Overall: Not a good example of the style and not a good beer. Weak, watery, and without any of the interesting flavors I look for in a weiss.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
This bottled brew with a flippy top from Indianapolis, IN opened with a loud KERPOW and a puff of what looked like steam came out of it. It poured an extremely large sized head of white colored foamy finely sized long lasting white colored bubbles on top of a transparent weak yellow orange colored body with average carbonation. The aroma was mildly astringent with malty lagerish mild funky and spicy notes. The mouth feel was mildly tingly from start to finish. The flavor was typical of a mild lager with a slight fruity note.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle pours a witbier-sandy/wheat color with an immense white head and champagne effervescense. Golden, eggyolk hues increase as the yeast takes control, muting the carbonation with its opacity. The beerís head settles slowly to a creamy cap, leaving spittles of wet lace on the way down. Familiar, pleasant aromas of banana and clove with an increased presence of bread dough as well as a subdued note of smoked meat that together conjure a ham sandwich. Creamy yet thin, the palate doesnít carry the flavors as well as Iíd hoped... yeasty flavors of the aforementioned banana and clove with touches of milk and cinnamon. A dry finish taps into the hint of smokiness while the lingering aftertaste is fruity banana with lemon.
I wasnít expecting much based on the preceding reviews... plus I missed my "Best By" date by a month. However, this Hefe rose to the occasion and I feel it is on-par or greater-than some of the heavy-hitters including Weihenstephaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Franziskaner & Ayinger.

Pours light golden and slightly cloudy with a thin, mostly receding white head.
Spicy phenolic yeast with notes of clove, and light banan. Mouthfeel is thin/medium bodied with lively carbonation. Enjoyable but not stellar.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from tbc2, thanks Matt. Pours yellow with an enourmous head that almost poured out of my glass. Light sweet and refreshing tasting. A good one for a hot day. Went down too quick, pretty good hefe for the ratings.
