A nice light banana aroma. Huge huge head. The flavor is good. Flavor is light, a hint of wheat, some crisp hop. A hint of metal though too. A good wheat beer.

Hazy amber beer with fluffy thick foam that dies to a film and ring. Moderate lacing. Tangy fruit in the aroma, but no tanginess in the flavor. Pleasant dry wheat, some apple fruitiness, with a more than a touch of caramel sweetness and a bit of alcohol in the finish. Quite pleasant.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 Don’t you just love openeing those caged top bottles? Been waiting a while to drink this baby. Big poof when I released her. Pure clean hefe aroma, just like it should be. Big hypnotizing swirling pour from this unfiltered wheat with gunk on the bottom of the 500 mL bottle. Cloudy very light brown appearance. Large foaming head and this stuff has lots of good tingle in the carbonation. Good clean wheat flavor lacking overspiceness, and I’m glad. Too many wheat beers over do it on the spice. IMHO simpler is better when it comes to wheat beers. At times, it seems to have a little hop bitterness in there, and I really don’t appreciate that in a wheatie. Very nice finish and I’m surprised I’m already at the bottom of the bottle, must have been good. The only thing I didn’t dig about this brew was that small amount of hop bitterness, however, it was very well controlled.

Smooth drinking German weisse beer. Not over the top banana notes like some hefeweizens, but still noticable, especially towards the end. A very enjoyable beer. Perfectly balanced.

Messy pour. Oops. Opaque amber with a little bit of brown murky yeast floaties. Nose of banana and yeast, clove, sour cherries, orange peel. Very sweet (been a while since I tasted a wheat), with banana and orange validating the nose. Agree that carbonation gave it a good crisp mouthfeel and slightly yeasty finish. Even a pang of bitter. Nice to have a real wheat again.

Pour is a very cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is outstanding with lots of grain and citrus. Some banana and vanilla show up. Flavor is much of the same some citrus and clove with a vanilla back bone. A tasty treat from start to finish.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2007 Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown swing top bottle this beer poured a yellow-golden color with a large white head. The aroma was a very nice mix of wheat, orange and lemon. The flavor was sweet, yeast and lightly bitter with undertones of lemon and banana. The mouthfeel was rather thick for a hefeweizen. Solid.

Pours light golden and slightly cloudy with a thin, mostly receding white head. Spicy phenolic yeast with notes of clove, and light banan. Mouthfeel is thin/medium bodied with lively carbonation. Enjoyable but not stellar.

Bottle from tbc2, thanks Matt. Pours yellow with an enourmous head that almost poured out of my glass. Light sweet and refreshing tasting. A good one for a hot day. Went down too quick, pretty good hefe for the ratings.

Not a bad hefeweizen. The body is great, almost creamy with just enough carbonation, not too much. The yeastiness is a little more mellow than I would really like, but a decent wheatiness. Mellow but nice.
