donteatpoop (124), Youngstown, Ohio, USA May 21, 2008 Pretty much what I expected it to be but with a slightly sweeter malt.
Pours a pale straw tellow with a decent amount of head to it, though the head doesn’t last long.
Smells of malts and hay.
Tastes like a lager, semi-sweet malts and hops.
Great for a day to just pound a few down, I’ll probably buy this again during football season and see if my dad digs on it. This seems like a beer my old man would appreciate.
Serving type: bottle italianjohn (337), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA May 20, 2008 Very simple smooth lager the taste is very clean like the description says from beginning to end its easy drinking no aftertaste no initial flavor an easy to pound brew i recommend and enjoy anytime phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 14, 2008 Borderline drain pour. Your typical pale lager swill. Pours a straw yellow colour with a small thin head. Aroma is stale and grassy, very malty all the way through. xCENOTAPHx (16), Grandview, Texas, USA May 13, 2008 Very smooth. Nothing great, but better than your average commercial beer. Still fairly good as it warms up, too. DaveB (73), Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA May 10, 2008 Had not had a Moosehead in 20 years. Saw it on tap in Montreal last week and tried it again. It’s a better beer then I remember. Smooth, no Heineken aftertaste. GoLdFiNgEr (83), La Pocatière, Quebec, Canada May 7, 2008 Bière assez légère, appropriée pour une bière d’été. Une robe jaune avec une légère amertume de houblon. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA May 5, 2008 A rather weak brew. A dry taste with a slight amount of bittering. Rather light with a simple carbonation. Not too much to be thrilled about. Faci81 (2), Canada does not count May 2, 2008 Great Canadian Lager!
This is a true quality beer that goes down smooth with a minor Heineken type aftertaste.
