iride15 (169), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 25, 2008 Another Canadian lager that beets it’s American competition, but not by much. Light golden beer with white/creamy head. that laces the glass. good aroma for a typical lager. KidVenom (27), Manitoba, Canada Mar 9, 2008 355 ml Can. I must say Im a bit disappointed in Moosehead. Piss yellow colour and the flavor follows. Again, I am a man who prefers Dark beers, however I thought this would at least meet my expectations in one way or another. I was wrong. Allen (1289), Switzerland Mar 4, 2008 Bottled 345ml. It pours a light golden beer with a nicely remaining creamy white head. The nose is of pine needles, lime and malt. Slightly sour. The taste is mainly of corn. Hints of lime, spices and plastic. Watery. Artificial finsih with a hint of pine needles. Nice lacing. Distinctive. Oscbert (532), Sacramento, California, USA Feb 29, 2008 ~ Pours a thining white head that quickly dissappears. Although leaves
lace on the glass. Yellow almost clear colour. Lots of carbonation.
~ Skunky, sweet, malt scent.
~ Flavour is sweet. A hint of that same sourness found in Budwesier
and other cheap beers, but not as overpowering.
~Palate is sticky
~ Of all the skunky beers I have had, Heineken, St Pauli, and Becks
this is the best. Its just a decent beer. Nothing special, but easily
drinkable. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 28, 2008 I’m not in love with this lager. I thought all lagers are the same. And this one fit the mold. Becks, Heineken, all the same. Nothing special. Aroma perhaps the most surprising, but typical of lager, barely there. Appearance, uh! Flavor, nah! Palate bitter, hoppy. Not for me, not in a lager anyway. Not impressed at all. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Feb 24, 2008 12-oz. Pours a crystal clear and very pale yellow with a light, fluffy platinum blonde head. Very little light lacing. This is one skunky beer--huge wafts of skunk off it. Rotten corn, too--maybe the worst DMS I’ve smelled. Certainly the worst in a while. Sweet, watery, fizzy, sticky body. Corn syrup and aluminum on the mid-palate. What a mess. The stool is loose, at best. Parrothead (185), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 23, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours out with a big fluffy white head that hangs around, leaving a nice lace. Aroma is....what is that - corn? Brilliantly clear gold, decent mouthfeel , nice flavor for a megabrew. ILduce (133), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 21, 2008 Pours a brilliant gold with a small white head. Smells like corn and hops with a slight floral bouquet. Taste of fruits and vegetables dominate; watery. Clean but thin. One of the better Canadian macros.
