Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA May 7, 2007 This used to be my favorite beer (I was born in Canada) and I hadn’t drunk any in quite a while. I did my best to suppress any prejudices in favor of it; even so, I found it rather pleasant to drink. Color is a typical golden-yellow, not much head. Aroma is sharp and malty. The crisp, malty taste is not complex but is refreshing. It definitely has an "edge" to the flavor and mouthfeel that most lagers lack. This is a good party beer. chainman (103), Ontario, Canada May 7, 2007 Probably the best easy-to-find Canadian lager there is. Costs marginally more than Labbat or Molson swill and tastes fresh. Great for warm weather. Nothing too special, but it’s a solid lager. torturer666 (29), Commerce, Michigan, USA May 6, 2007 For the money, I prefer this over nearly all canadian beers.
Pros: Cheap, distinctive aroma, taste (slightly).
Cons: Nothing special, just a little different. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA May 6, 2007 Och! This beer smelled AWFUL...Truly, the worst smelling beer I have had to date...Luckily, the taste was a tad better. Served very cold, this beer was actually quite drinkable. I wouldnt search it out by any means, but it was available so I drank it. TheCEO (100), USA May 3, 2007 When I was a young boy, I thought "great" Beers were SUPPOSED to smell like a dead polecat...boy was I wrong. This is The King of Low Quality Beers though....(singin’) "Poooor Caaanadaaaa!!" TheLeadDog (101), Kent, Washington, USA May 2, 2007 Best served real cold, this "Green Bottled Beer" is refreshing on a hot day. Pale in color and slightly malty in taste with just a hint of bite. A little sour also. For a mass produced beer, better than most. AaronBouchard (128), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada May 1, 2007 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Moosehead premium lager is my favorite beer of all time. It has the most refreshing taste out of any other beer that ive tried. It is the only beer I drink on outdoor road trips becuase the moose reminds me of nature. The Moosehead reminds me of good times. It is the taste that makes it special to me. Derek881 (489), Frederick, Maryland, USA Apr 23, 2007 I had this from a bottle, it was clear gold with a small white head. The aroma was earthy, grassy hops, maybe a hint of citrus, but I’m reaching. The taste was slightly sour, mostly bitter. It had a wet, light texture and was fairly smooth with mild carbonation. Not an exciting beer, but respectable; easy to tell it’s one for the masses.
