COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth clean-tasting lager that offers a good balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness

[Bottle at the Sausage Tree, High Wycombe] Dirty gold with a moderate white head. Far too fizzy, Nice grassy taste with some sweet honey and a slight bitterness in the finish. One of the better world lagers, but still not something I’d choose as a matter of course.

Bottle. Crystal clear pale yellow pour with a small white head. Nose is kind of a skunky grainy smell with slight malt. Carbonation seems about right. Taste is really not too bad for a pale lager - grain and malt, but not unpleasant. Not a good beer, but not bad for its style. Definitely a cut above the American macro pale lagers.

This was rating #1492, and I elected to do a Canadian beer instead of the Sam Adams Light sitting in my fridge. I’m a bad American, apparently.

Bottle at home. Golden pour, thick white head. Aroma is a bit dusty, earthy and grainy. Flavor is watery and subtle bitter. Quite messy lager.

Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Clear yellow / golden color, full white head. Smell malts and grains. Taste is ok, but a little weak even for a simple lager. Low carbonation, low body.

Very “skunky” upon opening (a common trait for brews in clear or green colored bottles) but thankfully this wore off very quickly. Good hit of hops right off the bat wakes those taste buds up and then finishes off with a sweet malty taste. Truly a good beer designed for its purpose – to quench ones thirst. Oddly though, I was getting flavors of lemon saltwater taffy as an aftertaste. Need to enjoy more of this brew to confirm!

Very good IF and I will re-state, IF you can find it fresh. Smooth and easy to enjoy if so. Otherwise, you’re headed down a bad bad road.
