henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA Oct 13, 2006 The 12 ounce bottle poured a crystal clear pale yellow colored beverage with a small white fizzy head that was mostly diminishing and left almost no lacing on the glass. The aroma was skunky with notes of malt in the background. The body was light with lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor starts off lightly sweet with roasted malt undertones. The finish was medium short with a light bitterness at the end. Strykzone (1459), Wood River, Illinois, USA Oct 13, 2006 Ahh, the legendary Moosehed. Light golden in color and sweetness and hops in the aroma this pretty much looks and smells like a pale lager. Flavor is nice and has just a bit of character. It is better tasting than anticipated and has a pleasing mouthfeel. It is just a little more substantial than the typical pale. Corn isn’t hard to find and there is a hint of floral. This is a crisp and clean beer and is better than most of its ilk. daniel0017 (232), Ontario, Canada Oct 7, 2006 Updated: Nov 14, 2006Used to be a favorite but my tastes must have evolved over the years. Aroma is of unripe fruit (macintosh apple, maybe pear). Pours a light amber hue with quickly dissipating head. Taste of light malted barley, corn and strong hops yet very smooth in character. Excellent beer to accompany any meal. MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2006 Poors a light yellow with a white head. Very thin tasting, not much charecter. bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA Sep 24, 2006 A fairly nice aroma of light floral and unfortunate corn. Or so it seems. Very pale gold color with reasonable white head. Starts with corny sweetness, and that’s about it. There’s some hop (very little), and it’s actually much much more pleasant than the popular American lagers. The finish seems sweetish. Wegro (218), Fresno, California, USA Sep 24, 2006 Updated: Oct 5, 2007My friends love this stuff. Skunk smell, skunk flavor, skunk finish. Totally one dimensional, but somehow better than heineken and the american standards. More balanced than those with some grassy hops and better mouthfeel. But it still basically smells and tastes like a dead skunk on the highway. Cheap and easy to pound while playing videogames with your friends, too! MoritzF (4863), Bochum, Germany Sep 18, 2006 (can) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy, slowly lacing foamy white head. Dusty, sweet malty, slightly corny and flowery malty aroma. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Malty, grainy taste; sweetbitter minimal hoppy finish with an artificial touch in the aftertaste. Still drinkable. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Sep 12, 2006 Hand this to me blindfolded and ask me where it’s from I’d say Germany. Hoppy blast with a refreshingly watery finish. Eurolager from the Maritimes? I’ll drink it when it’s available.
