syzslak (1), USA does not count Aug 20, 2006 I’m not experienced yet, but this is one of the best that I know. Ask me again after I explore some new beers through this site. OldRaspy (292), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 17, 2006 Poured from a 12oz bottle a pale yellow with a small white head. This one is highly carbonated. Aroma was grassy hops. Flavor was grassy hops and corn. troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Aug 8, 2006 (0.33L Bottle) Pours yellow with little head. Sweet malty tasting... no bitterness. A little unbalanced, but not too bad. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 6, 2006 While there certainly is no doubt this is a cheap taste lacking beer, but this is much more preferable over most US macro BMC stuff. celogan (190), Oroville, California, USA Aug 5, 2006 Not TOO bad for a Canadian Lager. Poured lkight straw yellow. Minimal head and no lacing at all. Very little aroma but decent carbonatino. Lilght body and mouth feel. Taste was non-offensive, but refreshing. Slight sweetnes with a very slight hop finish. This is definetely Not a go out and get beer but it IS worh grabbing a sixer if it’s on sale and you get it along with your favorite brew; and not instead of it
Good on a hot day but it must be ICE COLD. I actually liked the taste better straight from the bottle after sitting in ice for several hours. I won’t go out and get it agin anytime soon, but I won’t turn it down if given by a host/hostess either. CanadaCam (109), Canada Aug 2, 2006 Moosepiss has got to be Canada’s most overrated lager. This stuff is crap. The head disappears quickly, it’s thin, has a metalic taste. Not my cup of tea, or pint of beer as the case me be. If you’re going to drink a Canadian macrobrewed lager, you’re best choice is still Canada’s classic: Molson Canadian. Phatz (225), Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 1, 2006 Appearance: Pours a pale straw yellow color with a bleach white head. There is lots of active carbonation rising from the bottom.
Smell: Grain and sweet malt aromas are apropos for the style. Impressive, maybe not but sweet and pleasant, certainly.
Taste: This is an average macro. It is far better than BMC to me and as an All Malt lager it holds its own though many micros are superior, this one is damn cheep. For the price you could buy PBR or Moosehead Lager.
It has a sweet grain and malty barley flavor that that ends with hop bitter, dry finish but little flavor from the hop flower. There is just enough sweet and dry balanced flavor to make it somewhat interesting.
Mouthfeel: Smooth typical malty body that is light in weight and crisp around the edges.
Drinkability: Okay, so I thought I was going to hate this beer but it turns out I surprised to find a bit of flavor. Still, this is a session beer to choose when you are aiming for quantity per $ not quality. In other words it is a suitable choice for a party beer.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!
dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Jul 31, 2006 Clear gold, with a good thick head. Mostly malt, with a smooth medium body that was better than I remembered.
