eboats (887), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 2, 2006 Poured a clear super light yellow not dark enough to be piss with a white head. Aroma is dead skunk as the car passes by. Flavor is just water. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA May 31, 2006 Draft. Pours pale golden with a decent white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grain, and corn. Flavor is weak, yet smooth and refreshing, good summer brew, grain, corn, with a slight hoppy presence. Thin body, but drinkable. kimcgolf (825), Dacula, Georgia, USA May 29, 2006 Not bad for a mass produced Canadian beer, but not a lot to offer either. Probably best after you have had a couple good beers (like some Canadian Unibroue offerings), and taste and quality is not as big an issue.....then several of these will hit the spot. beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 27, 2006 I do not like moosehead at all. Its too watered down for my tastes. I do not like the skunky smell. BeerPig (3), Springdale, Arkansas, USA does not count May 25, 2006 I love drinking this beer. Crisp is the best way to describe it. Always refreshing. Also, I haven’t met any real beer drinker that didn’t like it. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA May 25, 2006 We were visting Ernest’s family, and we’re all gathered around the table, tasting beers and talking. In the background, E’s dad keep chiming in, "Don’t give me that fancy stuff, I just like Moosehead." Eventually he disappeared, returned to the dining room and dantily presented me with a small cordial glass...full of Moosehead. "Rate ’dat," he joked. Because of this memory, I adore this beer, even if the nicest thing I can say about it is that it isn’t bad. :) It was clear, light gold and had a small, frothy, white, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma was clean and without the usual Pale Lager flaws: malty with just a trace of toasted grain; hoppy with a light herbal note; yeasty with a trace of dough; moderate note of honey. The flavor was moderately sweet, trace acidic and lightly bitter with a short, trace sweet finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively. GG (1613), NorCal, California, USA May 22, 2006 A co-worker of mine once bought me a 6’er of this for my birthday and she thought since it was from Canada (imported) that it had to be good. Bless her, because she meant well. To be honest, it’s not entirely bad so I picked up a bottle to review and my memory served me fairly well. It’s still not bad. When it’s ice cold, it’s pretty easy to consume and of course doesn’t taste too bad so drink quick. Pretty standard Canadian swill, but the skunk is pretty toned down, the drinkability is high and it tastes pretty good after working outside. You could do MUCH worse with Canadian/American swill so if you need to go cheap, go with this. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 18, 2006 Bottle.
