Ah, i have fond memories of Moosehead. This was the regualr beer in highschool and college before i got into craft beer. Yes, they the only big Independant Canadian Brewery left, and i have to give them points for that. But seriously, there isnt much here. Its slightly different in flavour than the other macros, you can actually taste a bit of hosp here. but all in all, its your typical run of the mill pale lager.

Had this one in Sequoia National Park before going on a long backpacking expedition. Your standard pale lager, but definitely better than a Bud or other major brews. Light gold color, weak aroma, minimal head. Watered down taste, crisp finish. Refreshing and poundable.

Yep.That’s beer! What can I say??It’s a few steps above your typical commercial beer. For the price I would rather have a Sierra Nevada.Straw color, aroma of ....BEER!!Maybe it tastes a bit better than the typical commercial beers because of the crisp, clean,Canadian water!!Grassy flavor and BEER!!Can you tell I am NOT impressed??Good thing the next beer I am trying is an Anderson Valley IPA!!Pass on the Moosehead and buy a Sierra Nevada.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 nearbeer (2572) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 7, 2007
UPDATED: APR 26, 2011 Bottle, best by 01007? Pale gold with a small head that lasts and leaves some lace. Big skunk (or maybe moose?) aroma fades to slightly sweet grain and bitterish, grassy hops. Taste was at first a little bit of sweet grain, but turned to more skunky bitter hops after about five minutes in the glass. Palate is light, watery, and a little dry. Only a slightly above average industrial.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 mikey (342) - farmington, Utah, USA - JUN 6, 2007
Poured a clear straw color with a fizzy, thin white head. The aroma was grassy, slightly malty and had a hint of sodium. The taste had malt flavor in the front with a corn syrup adjunct taste. Hop presence was light. The beer is fair, a middle of the road adjunct.

A very good beer in a neat bottle. Has a smooth easy going taste that is hard to discribe, almost ginger ale like. A great summer beer, but not strong enough for the winter.

A cross between a helles and British lager. A crisp very pale lager with little aroma and a slight fruity accent and clean dry finish. Refreshing but not full flavor or complex.
