bsawatzky (152), harrisonburg, Virginia, USA May 8, 2005 served cold it turns out this beer can be quite refreshing. not much going on as far as flavor is concerned but quite drinkable. darkko (99), Kingsport, Tennessee, USA May 7, 2005 Skunk and corn (aroma or odor)? Pours VERY light yellow, with a thin and quickly dissipating head. Almost no lacing. Low on flavor. Like an American macro. Very watered down. No hop bitterness to speak of. Must use corn as an adjunct as that is what the finish is like. Not very good stuff. MJROZ (3), Villach, Austria does not count May 2, 2005 Great summer beer . . from Canada! Best served cold. Negative reviews probably suggest sun spoilage and/or overtemp
BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA Apr 30, 2005 Thanks again to Mexico North for yet another example of what we don’t want, need. or otherwise can do without....a so-called "smooth clean-tasting" glass of crap. Hard to believe folks pay $6 and more for a six-pack of this garbage. I suppose thats fine if you’re all about paying for the marketing.....as for the bottle contents...BFD. Typical over-priced lager color, skunk juice nose and flavor. More Mortel...less Moosehead. MikeT (76), Hollis, New Hampshire, USA Apr 30, 2005 Pale blond color and carbonated head that doesn’t last. Plain lager here with little to talk about. jimhilt (1664), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Apr 26, 2005 Pours with a two-finger white head that fades quickly leaving traces of lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Slight hoppy/skunky nose. Starts with a mix of hops and sweetness, finish is clean, better than American lagers. $1.50 for a 12oz green bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma. collieman (191), montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 24, 2005 Better on tap, but not realy worth it. Light flavour, but not mild enough for you’re basic pilsner drinker, not enough flavour for the rest of us. Pours a golden yellow, thin head that’s gone in a second, boose on the nose, large bubble light carbonation. first taste is of crisp corn beer, folowed by a deep skunkeyness, SLIGHT bitter aftertaste. Not realy worth the it takes to finish a pint. Cheers. {ps first rewiew on my new pentium 4} beerledgend (919), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Apr 17, 2005 In New Zealand labeld as ’Moosehead Lager".
Clear straw colour, white head which went back to Canada very quickly! ie disapeared. Strong grassy aroma. Nothing outsatnding more of a pilsner than pale lager.
