I do not like moosehead at all. Its too watered down for my tastes. I do not like the skunky smell.

I love drinking this beer. Crisp is the best way to describe it. Always refreshing. Also, I haven’t met any real beer drinker that didn’t like it.

We were visting Ernest’s family, and we’re all gathered around the table, tasting beers and talking. In the background, E’s dad keep chiming in, "Don’t give me that fancy stuff, I just like Moosehead." Eventually he disappeared, returned to the dining room and dantily presented me with a small cordial glass...full of Moosehead. "Rate ’dat," he joked. Because of this memory, I adore this beer, even if the nicest thing I can say about it is that it isn’t bad. :) It was clear, light gold and had a small, frothy, white, mostly and quickly diminishing head. The aroma was clean and without the usual Pale Lager flaws: malty with just a trace of toasted grain; hoppy with a light herbal note; yeasty with a trace of dough; moderate note of honey. The flavor was moderately sweet, trace acidic and lightly bitter with a short, trace sweet finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.

A co-worker of mine once bought me a 6’er of this for my birthday and she thought since it was from Canada (imported) that it had to be good. Bless her, because she meant well. To be honest, it’s not entirely bad so I picked up a bottle to review and my memory served me fairly well. It’s still not bad. When it’s ice cold, it’s pretty easy to consume and of course doesn’t taste too bad so drink quick. Pretty standard Canadian swill, but the skunk is pretty toned down, the drinkability is high and it tastes pretty good after working outside. You could do MUCH worse with Canadian/American swill so if you need to go cheap, go with this.

yellow color pour with little head. a little sweet corn aroma but not much there. Nice hops taste at first then finishes with a sweet malted flavor. Not bad but not the best either. I personally would drink miller instead.

[bottle from Bier Halle] Fizzy, yellow, grainy, skunked, cereals. very faint hop character, not enough to save this from being a crap pale lager.
