473 mL can. Pours a dark caramel with a tiny head that disappears almost immediately. No lacing. Hoppy aroma, smells pretty interesting. On the palate is lots of carbonation, some bitterness, some hops. There's a long fairly pleasant finish. For being brewed by a big brewer, this is pretty tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A golden amber ale with a thick frothy mocha head, lacing and nice. In aroma, smooth caramel malt with light British floral hops, OK. In mouth, a decent ale with light caramel malt, faint foral hops, a bit thin, but overall, decent. Can from LCBO.

Can. 473 ml style bitches! Copper body pours a thick foam of white head. Malty nose hints at burnt sugar and toast, with a nutty undertone. Sweet, mildly bitter, but overall its a bit too sweet for me. Medium bodied with a soft bitter finish. Ok, I just cant get over the sweetness.

Poured from the bottle at Edmonton Craft Beer Fest ’14. Deep golden hue, clear. Small and short lasting cap. Caramel nose. Taste had grain and caramel and pale ale malts. Light hops at the end. Reminded me more of an English pale ale. Overall not bad.

On tap at NDHQ Sgts/WOs Mess (Ottawa, ON). Amber/copper body with a thin off white foamy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with nutty and some woody hints. Taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It carries grainy notes and ends with a short bitter finish. Not bad.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution’s Edmonton location pours a pale amber color with finger of white head that leaves some spotty lacing behind. Aroma is light fruits and caramel with hints of citrus. Taste is malty sweet with a light citrus and grassy hop bitterness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A basic amber ale which is a decent session ale, but nothing more.

341 ml bottle.Pours a medium amber with a minimal white head. Aromas of caramel with a hint of citrus from the cascade hops. Malty caramel flavour is strong. Rather flat carbonation. Nice to see Moosehead step out and attempt an amber ale, but nothing significant here in my opinion.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2014 On tap @ Caper’s Belleville. Pours a clear amber with a minimal off-white head (probably not a vigorous pour). Aromas are sweet caramel malts, plastic, and light floral hops. Tastes are copper, sweet caramel/toffee malts, and a hint of bitterness. Light to medium body, medium metallic finish. Good on Moosehead for at least brewing something with a little character. Taste needs a little work. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Pours a war copper with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, grass and citrus hop aromas. Taste is caramel, grass and a bit of a metallic off flavor and a bitterness into the finish. Nothing to write home about as it seems unbalanced.

Pours a clear medium copper with one finger of loose white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim and light lacing. Nose is light, caramel malt with mild floral hops. Taste is similar, mildly hoppy and caramel malt. Medium-bodied with a reasonably crisp, off-dry finish. On the up side, this is clearly the best beer that Moosehead makes. On the down side, this is a beer Moosehead makes.
