2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Onenote81 (902) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 27, 2012
Originally reviewed: 7/23/10. Grabbed a sixer of this from my local grocery the other day. 12oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass.
Pours a pale, orange-tinted gold. A thick bone-white head rests atop. Decent retention. Lots of sticky lace left behind. Scents of grassy hops, grains, husk, and lemon. The mouth is slick and wet. Decent carbonation presence still.
Semi-sweet grains make up the flavor profile. Some slight honey-sweetness followed by lemon zest. Low-to-absent bitterness. Not a bad Pale Lager at all. I could have a few of these (and did for that matter), but it’s just nothing noteworthy. Better than other macro offerings, but better lighter beers out there for sure.

bottle pours light straw with white head . aroma is grassy and skunky . taste is slightly sweet and a light hint of hop bitterness . watery with medium carbonation - there are worse pale lagers out there

Not bad for a pale lager. The nose is grain and grass. The beer is very pale yellow with a thin white head. The taste is grainy especially corn with some grass hop notes. The beer is clean and smooth.

Far better than most supermarket available lagers here in Britain. Not the best lager I’ve ever had but a litlle under rated. Perhaps if it had a German name on the label it would have a higher score.
Over carbed.

An upscale lost lake. This beer is so bad that the it tastes kind of interesting
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 GT2 (4012) - Washington DC, USA - APR 1, 2012
Can thanks to solidfunk. Bubbly, clear straw with a massive, rockier, thick white head. Good retention and soapy lace. Cidery apple nose with pear. Taste is bland, soapy, mealy apple, fake pear, watery. Quite unremarkable. Cidery off character is not as bad as typical culprits like diacetyl or metallic.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with minimal white head. Aroma of grain and skunk. Taste is light bitter. Grains, skunk and a little hops. Light bodied with a thin texture. Relatively fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not the worst beer I’ve had, but not the best by far either.

Pale golden color, no real head. Smells of sweet malt. The tongue is all light malt sweetness. Palate is sweet and thin. Needs more body or more hops (humble opinion) but a nice sweet lager.
