Aroma is barely existent with a slight, slight hop characteristic. Taste is smooth and inoffensive. Not a bad bet, I wouldn’t be upset about drinking this if it was the best thing available. drpimento (809), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Poured with a nice fluffy white head and some lace. Lovely golden color. Huge grain flavor like unfermented sweetness and taste. colts9016 (198), Idaho, USA

Buttery golden & clear with moderate effervescence under a fuzzy, white head. Stale aroma of pale malt with light bitterness, but no "green bottle skunk" so there’s a plus. Sharp & dry, like an inexpensive cider. Bittersweet lagered flavor finishing with some sweet golden apple. It may be that I’ve had so many dogs this week, but I didn’t mind this beer today. (Plus I can tick-off yet another Province.)

Smell is slight skunk at first followed by some malt. Taste is clean, smooth, creamy, and a tad watery. Of the pale lagers I’ve had, this is definitely the best.
Has a hint of bitterness, but finishes with a fairly pleasant bitter-sweetness. This isn’t a jaw dropping beer, but for the style, this is very drinkable, and much better tasting than your standard bud/miller/coors selection, with slightly more body, even though it is still a bit watery. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Big dimpled white head. Sweet corny aroma with underlying bubblegum. Taste is wretched like any macrolager. Carbonation is much less evident in the mouth. Crappy, but marginally better than the usual US products. SwillNoMore (105), USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Bottle, from Duvel tulip, at cellar temp. Mine is called Moosehead LAGER rather than BEER, but it’s the same stuff. A half-shade darker than Bud, with a typical bubbly white head and no lacing. A big waft of skunk when poured...when will green bottles die? It takes some deep whiffing to get past that skunk, but I do detect a note of hops -- just beneath the boiled vegetables. Mouthfeel is thin and light, as expected, but thankfully lacks the stickiness of many pale lagers. Carbonation starts with a sharp bite, then immediately fades to flat...very artificial feeling. Flavor is also artificial, but I must give it a point for having a touch of hops -- an extreme rarity among pale lagers. Grainy finish.
