4 finger head. some carbonation. Smell’s soft and light with a bready malty smell. Taste is watery with a little hop bite on lips and a light grassy citrus malty flav. Not into lagers but this is one of the better one’s. It’s good for a fucking lager. cheer’s.

Clear yellow lager with a small whitish head. Pretty typical, but better than most. Light bodied.

Tasted from bottle into standard pint glass. Poured a clear gold color with fluffy, moderately lasting head. Aromas of musky hops, similar to Heineken, grains and white bread. Flavor is mild malt-sweetness, a little hop-forward for a mass-market pale lager, too. Thankfully, no offensive adjunct off-tastes. Crisp, dry lager finish. Nothing special here, but slightly higher quality than equivalent American macros. And heck, it’s not screw-off, which still means a little something...

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt and grain. Taste is light sweet. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

This beer has a skunky smell to me. It is crisp and clear....which in this case also means generic and flavorless

pours extra pale yellow with a decent head, fading very quickly. corn, light herbal hops, some citrus and a very light woodiness. aggressive carbonation, very light body, bland but not terrible.

Wanted to try just for fun. 12oz bottle to glass: First, aroma of skunk! Hmmm...clear glass under floresent grocery store lights for undetermined amounts of time (no quality date found). Skunk did subside, yielded to sweetness. Look, not terrible, but soapy and thin and pretty much non-offensive in the taste department, but not worth it.

Used to think this was a premium beer, many years ago. Thankfully for those of us living south of the 49th parallel, we have a lot better options these days. With that said, Moosehead is still a decent tailgate beer--a little better than average but still weak enough for the Bud crowd.

How could I turn down having the good ole moose. Somehow between the thinner yellow color and even thinner taste, I didn’t manage to pour this one out. Its not totally offensive as say for instance Busch Light. Its bland, but not skunked. It’s what we call a lawnmower beer when all other lawnmower beers have been exhausted.

Clear piss yellow with no head. Aroma of corn, grain and sweet malts. Tastes the same, with some mild grassy hoppiness. A wee bit more substance than most Canadian mass produced industrial swill. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
