2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Spab (1118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 12, 2009
On tap. Pours a clear yellow gold with medium sized head. Nose of grass and corn. Similar notes in taste but with a bit of a bitter finish. Pretty underwhelming, but a step up from the Canadian macros.

Bottle. This beer pours a light golden/straw color with a thin white head that quickly disappears. Smells of German pills with some hops. The taste is watery with that is sweet at first and ends bitter. The mouthfeel is light, crisp and refreshing. This beer is quite drinkable and unoffensive.

Pale, clear yellow pilsener colour with a small white head. Smells sharp, bitter, grainy and malty. Tastes grainy, malty and bitter. Good carbo, medium body.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 puboflyons (1111) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 29, 2007
For the record, it’s better to drink it in New Brunswick, Canada. Still, a potent Canadian lager and a nice alternative to the Molson-Labatt brews that are widely available in the USA. Sure it’s skunky but so are many Canadian bieres.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 GarethYoung (1109) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 17, 2006
[bottle from Bier Halle] Fizzy, yellow, grainy, skunked, cereals. very faint hop character, not enough to save this from being a crap pale lager.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 11, 2002
A decent lager. Not much character, slightly bitter. Sweet aftertaste.

Somehow these basic beers last forever. This is Canada’s oldest brewery, but this beer is basic. Not much going on. A good thirst quencher, but little else.
