UPDATED: MAR 25, 2007 Prior to this rating I have never tried Moosehead before, and I must say that I am very glad that I bought a few today. It begins with a very smooth pour with a small, dissipating head. The aroma caught my attention right away with a fresh and sweet smell like the day after a thunderstorm. My first taste was great, just like the commercial description says "a good balance between sweetness and bitterness". This balance along with the smooth, relaxing, taste of the beer made it work and now this is definitely one of my favourite of the great Canadian beers. Non-beer drinkers and regular beer drinkers could both find this a great beer to have on any occasion.

Probably one of my favorite supermarket beers. Fair price and a nice beer. Pours nice with a thin head. A nice pale color when poured ice cold. Goes down very smooth and has a fair flavor.

Probably the best easy-to-find Canadian lager there is. Costs marginally more than Labbat or Molson swill and tastes fresh. Great for warm weather. Nothing too special, but it’s a solid lager.

Excellent summer beer. Very light, almost no aftertaste. Careful, the green bottle encourages skunkiness! Get it good and you will be happy, but not blown away.

Bottled. Better than average lager. Light in body and color, this beer has a clean taste that is dry and crisp with cereal notes/finish.

Pours golden yellow with mild white head. Smells of toasted malts, tastes of mellow malty lagerness with just a hint of bitterness. Beats the hell out of any mass market lagers, and has a clean crisp texture that goes down well and leave satisfied.

Its the "Miller Lite" of Canada. On one side, for a lager it is pretty damn good with a sweet malt finish. It goes down easy, but that is mostly because it tastes like the watered down American light beers. bitterness is 1.5/10. Good for the bong!
