COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hand selected, locally grown apples from Ski Hi Orchard & light pilsen malt combine to give our Apple Ale a light, smoooth & slightly sweet taste.

Draft at Moosejaw. Honey straw yellow-orange color. Thin, oily non-head. Sweet, but unimpressive apple aroma. Pretty thin on the apple tastes, it is pretty balanced by the sweet malt. Refreshing and very easy drinking stuff. A little too watery and boring, though. The apple just doesn’t have any bite or crispness.

On tap at the brewpub, pours a clear golden amber, no head, no nose. Tastes like watery apple cider, but not as good as, say, Woodchuck Amber Cider.

On Tap @ Buffalo Phil’s (Wisconsin Dells) Menu said brewed by Moosejaw Pizza and Dells Brewing Co. Apparently a cowboy favorite... Poured a hazy pale gold with a nice frothy white head. Aroma was apple tartness over a biscuity malt. Flavour definitely had apparent apple flavours, a cidery body with pale malts backing. Clean bitter/tart fruity finish. Pretty tame, but tasty enough.

poured in a small, almost shot glass. Cloudy, golden color. Smell of apples and spice. Taste of some minor cinnamon, then a ton of apples and vinegar. It was very tart with some hoppy note on the end. This one was my sife favorite....not mine

On Tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest. Hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of apple peel, apple, cinnamon, Taste is more of the same with a dryness to it that’s akin to eating an apple.

This was a crazy beer. I never had an apple beer before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Pours a light yellow colour with a heavily aromatic apple bouquet. a light mouthfeel, somewhat grainy but apples all the way through. Not citrusy like a cider, but just super wicked green sour apple fruity.

(growler thanks Skyview) Pours light gold with a white head. Apple smell and that’s about it. Taste was initially apple and not too bad, then there is a period of no flavor, and then a grainy finish dominates and is somewhat detracting.

Grainy character with faint apple character. Grainy body with a faint apple undercurrent.
