COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich malts create a toffee & butterscotch flavor; combined with hazelnuts this brown ale has a great nutty twist, like Hazel herself!

10 Pointer Sampler 6/25/14 (Moosejaws)-Pours brown with a small head. Aroma malt, caramel, hazelnut, and toffee. Taste of the same with more nut flavor. This medium bodied brew is very well balanced and is very tasty.

One of the better beers of the night. Great hazelnut coffee aromas. The flavors actually mimic the aromas. Sweet and roasty hazelnut flavors. Coffee too. Very nice.

Dark coffee brown color with tan head. Very strong Hazelnut aroma. Flavor is dominated by Hazelnut. Some chocolate in the background. The amount of Hazelnut flavor makes this beer stand out.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered opaque burgundy brown body. Soda-like head mostly fades away after a few minutes. Massive hazelnut aroma. Massive hazelnut flavor. Big nutty tones, pretty unique. Besides that there isn’t a whole lot going on, some chocolate and presumably amber malt to round it out. I somehow doubt there isn’t some sort of flavor extract at play here, but I still kind of dig it, could see myself ordering another one.

Amber-brown, off white head. Syrupy, roast, caramel, and spice aroma. Medium bodied, vanilla, like aroma. Ok balance, malt dominant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draught at the Moosejaw brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark brownish copper colored brew with a creamy beige head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing. Aroma of hazelnuts and praline, roasted caramel malt and floral hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, soft carbonation with more distinct praline/hazelnut flavors, caramel and a touch of citrus. Finish has a short lived noble hop bitterness with a lingering praline and caramel aftertaste. Man, does this remind me of the Stuckey’s old pecan log rolls from years past.
