2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20 MIBRomeo (2346) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 13, 2011Black pour, small light tan head soapy bubbles. Thin palate, especially for a stout. Aroma was lightly toasty hint of coffee kind of bitterness and a touch of chocolate. Underwhelming flavor some light roast, touch of bitter coffee some light milk chocolate in the aftertaste. A very forgettable stout that had some potential that it appears just was not well executed.
0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 Baertsch (2) - Portage, Wisconsin, USA - APR 24, 2013 does not count
One of the best milk stouts ive had. Thick head of lite brown foam. Rich taste of lactose and grain. A hint of alcohol at the end. Smooth and rich.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 madvike (2077) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 15, 2012
On tap at the brewpub - Black pour with a tan ring of head. Nose is milky roast with hints of whiskey. Roastier than I had expected. Taste is the same with the same roast/lactose combo and dark chocolate, finishing with some whiskey notes. A bit thin body, thought the carbonation creams it up a bit. Not surprised this is their highest rated regular--solid stuff.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of lactose with backing chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor starts strong with lactose but has more roast and chocolate in the finish.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ryanfolty (1457) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 4, 2012

Imperial pint Draft at Moosejaw. Opaque black with a steady thin beige-brown head. Sweet malty milkshake aroma. Medium bodied, done quite nicely and true to style. Smooth chocolate tones, some lactose creaminess. Straightforward.

On tap at the brewpub, pours black with a good off-white head. Some chocolate in the nose. Taste is thick and creamy with chocolate, coffer, and some alcohol. I’m often hesitant about milk stouts, but this is a very good beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 esjaygee (3209) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 22, 2009
On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Dark brown with a medium beige head that provides minimal lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malt, lactose and mild chocolate. Taste of lactose, roasted malt, mild chocolate and mild hops. Mildly chewy on the palate but not bad overall.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ughsmash (6669) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 25, 2009
On tap at GTMW. Poured hazy deep brown with a well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet chocolate and toasted black malts accented by a little vanilla.. presented decently enough for the style. The flavor found even sweeter chocolates, some black patent, and caramel at the core with light overall roast.. just a touch smoky.. again OK. Too sweet on the palate and well-carbonated.. balance was alright.. most certainly drinkable.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 badgerben (4253) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAY 9, 2008
Growler courtesy of Skyview. Black color with a medium head. Sweet malt aroma and lots of lactose sweetness. The milk backs off a bit in the taste, but the overall sweetness and slick malt are still there. Just a little bit of an English earthy hop bitterness to finish it off.
