Pours a medium amber color with an average head on it. Really didn’t have too much of a scent to it. Had a really good malt taste to it that finished rather nicely with a nutty after taste. Had a really good taste overall making for a decent beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with an orange hue and a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice late caramel note with a hint of grassy hops and bread. Flavor has has grains up front with a bit of sweetness and a hint of grassy hops.

Transparent caramel brown with an admirable tan/grey head. Aroma is honey bread, brown sugar and hazelnuts, although it’s fairly reserved. Irish red-like nuttiness and malt complexity. A pleasant surprise and nice deviation from this brewery’s paler beers. Caramel, toffee chews, pumpernickel bread and a mixed bag of nuts round out the flavoring. Well-executed and modest beer.

(Tap) Pours amber with little head. Roasted nut and toffee notes. Slightly fruity aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel and slightly dry finish. One of my favorites from Moosejaw.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed last summer as I was traveling through Wisconsin Dells. The appearance is a red/amber colored body, less than a film of a white head. Some carbonation is seen rising. The smell has some caramel malts up front, light nuttiness. The taste is mainly sweet throughout, not much balance, caramel aftertaste and a dry finish. The palate is a light to medium, somewhat sessionable, and adequately carbonated for the style and for me. Overall, there is nothing bad about this beer, but there is nothing spectacular about it either, still its not bad with food.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber in color with a medium-sized white head. Thick lacing. Caramel, juniper, rye and raspberry aroma is rather light. Definite berryness in the flavor, along with more rye, chicory and a fair amount of butterscotch. Medium-high carbonation.

Skyview (5150) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 25, 2007
On tap at the brewpub in Wisconsin Dells, pours a clear light brownish amber with a fast dissolving off-white head. Lacing is average. Aroma of toffee, multi-grain bread, some roasted nuts and brown sugar. Taste is creamy, smooth, no carbonation and texture like a scotch ale. Finish is clean with hardly any aftertaste.
