2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On-tap @ the Brewpub.
Light brown color with orange highlights.
Aroma is mostly toffee malts and some subtle fruits as well.
In addition to the toffee/caramel flavor is a subtle fruit aspect which didn’t really do anything for me. The lack of any hop flavor is a bit disappointing, and leads to it being a bit too sweet for my taste, but the caramel malts are still tasty. Not one of the best beers from this brewpub.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Mousehouse Cheesehouse. Amber pour with a frothy off-white head. Quite malty. Bit of caramel, earth, maybe a bit dusty. Not great.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at restaurant and brewery, pours a clear dark amberish red with an off white head, the aroma is more sweet than hoppy with a good amount of caramel and malt, the flavor is much of the same, more malt and sweetness than hops, not bad I suppose.

10 Point Sampler 6/25/14 (Moosejaw)-Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of caramel, malt, and slight toffee. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew was just another amber.

A better beer of the night. Nice reddish pour. Toasty and sweet aromas and flavors. Caramel and grains. Nice.

Very smooth flavor at first. Palate becomes bitter after several sips. Overall decent ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reviewed from notes. Consumed last summer as I was traveling through Wisconsin Dells.
The appearance is a red/amber colored body, less than a film of a white head. Some carbonation is seen rising.
The smell has some caramel malts up front, light nuttiness.
The taste is mainly sweet throughout, not much balance, caramel aftertaste and a dry finish.
The palate is a light to medium, somewhat sessionable, and adequately carbonated for the style and for me.
Overall, there is nothing bad about this beer, but there is nothing spectacular about it either, still its not bad with food.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a medium amber color with an average head on it. Really didn’t have too much of a scent to it. Had a really good malt taste to it that finished rather nicely with a nutty after taste. Had a really good taste overall making for a decent beer.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the brewpub - Pours reddish amber with a tan head. Nose is lighy nutty with caramel sweetness and light herbal hopping. Taste is lightly sweet malt with the same nuttiness, but an odd butter and light sweet bread component. No hopping to speak of. Light and watery, with medium carbonation. Taste is definitely a let down with this one.
