4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 slsenior (36) - - JUN 13, 2013
Another fantastic Alaskan IPA. This one is a little more complex than the average here, yet maintains a good balance.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pantanap (3202) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 12, 2013
On tap at 229 in our way to Denali... Pours a slightly transparent orange hue, fairly consistent throughout, and topped with a thin film of soapy white head... Orangey citrus nose, lightly sweet with an adequate malt balance... Assertive with a citrus hop focus upfront, sweeter middle than the Denali ipa, caramel malt backing with a very light bitterness. Medium bodied with a normal level of carbonation. Not bad but also not too unique. Drinkable.

Pint pour at the brew pub. Pour was medium golden with a balanced hop and malt aroma. Flavors were again, balanced with slightly sweet malt finishing with a nice amount of bitterness and earthy hop flavors. Nice brew.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice hops nose and flavor. Malt mix was roasty with a light caramel flavor. This was a tasty brew. Great with a spicy pizza.
