On tap at the Moose’s Tooth. Amber pour, thin head. Well balanced beer. Grapefruit hops with caramel malts. Very drinkable. Maybe a bit on the thin side. Overall, a nice session beer.

Draft: Poured clear brown with an off white head. Aroma is strong floral and citrus. Very bitter citrus grapefruit but balanced malts. Nice and fresh!

6/19/2009: Looking for something different, I decided to go for the Moonflower ESB and I’m glad that I did. This medium-bodied, honey-colored beer has a beige head, a bright, citrusy hop aroma, and a great balance of caramel malts and bitterness (mild to mdoerate level) in the flavor. Another damn fine session beer with lots of great flavor!

Draught (sample) at The Moose’s Tooth in Anchorage, Alaska. Rating #13 for this beer.

[1689-20080906] Tap. Mild grains and mild fruit skin aroma. Slightly hazy, medium orange amber body with a medium-lasting creamy white head with some spotted lacing. Boozy grainy malt flavour. Medium-full body. Not bad, could drink a pint or more.

2008-09-06. Orange amber body with a small white head. Light fruity character, pleasant bitterness. Aroma is similar light fruity hops. (6+) Average palate. Subtle, but this was quite nice and would make a great session brew. On tap at the brewpub.

On tap at the Moose’s Tooth. Solid ESB, good balance of hops and malt. Copper in color with a good roasted malt taste and a citrus hop taste. Very drinkable, I don’t think it to be as IPA’ish as others have stated.

A very nice ESB. Not too strong on the nose, but a clean noble hops and granny smith apples. Orangish appearence also quite nice. Flavor was fresh and inviting, very drinkable and I could have had a second. ESBs are under-appreciated. (On tap at the Beartooth Cinema Pub).

The Moose’s Tooth Brewery serves the best pizza in town, along with some of the most amazing beer. This is a very quality ESB, can’t go wrong with this one.

From a sampler at the Moose’s Tooth. Golden amber color with a short lived off white head. Fresh citrus hop nose. Flavors of orange peel, grapefruit juice, and some caramel sweetness. The tail of this has a dry citrus hop bitterness. Nice ESB.
