Lots of initial carbonation which dissapears quickly. Clear golen pour. An ok blond.

Bottle @ home as Alsem’s Blond. Aroma has quite some banana, some malts and a touch of metallic spices and more fruits. Flavour is fruits, some malts, some spices. Alcoholic finish. Over carbonated sub-par Belgian.

Note: this is supposedly not an alias beer, but the seller (from the Moppie bar) admits that the recipe is close to the Augustijn. On always has to taste blind just to be sure, but I doubt Van Steenberge has changed much to the original recipe.
Clear golden yellow to orange beer, Creamy white adhesive head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, banana and just clear sugar. MF has ok carbon, full body. Taste holds sweet malts, caramel, citrus, honey. Aftertaste citrus, a little hops and some spices.

Draught @ 15de BLES Bierhappening 2008, Zottegem, Belgium.
Clear medium to dark yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefuit, moderate yeasty, spicy, coriander. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
