Pours a pale yellow colour with a white head. Aroma of citrusy tartness and weak herbs. Flavour is really interesting; heavy salty water, citrus, wheat, spices and some sweet notes. Surprisingly heavily bodied (because of the salt, probably) and slick mouthfeel. Finishes salty and citrusy. Interesting.

Aroma is slightly sour and tart with some honey, wheat, citron and hints of hay. Flavour is salty and slightly tart with wheat. Finishes salty and dry with hints of peaches. Watery but interesting, feels a bit like gose. Definitely not a Hefeweizen. I’d put this under traditional ale (Gose) or a witbier.

bottle from Vilage de la Bière Strasbourg-France. Cloudy pale yellow, mid-sized fluffy white head. Sourish-fruity taste, whetay and malty. Refreshing summer beer. I’m pretty sure it is not a German Hefeweizen, rather a Belgian style witbier.

E’ una birra piuttosto particolare, che si presenta con colore ramato, piuttosto torbido. Si legge che viene prodotta a partire dall’acqua di mare, depurata. In effetti ha una salinità accentuata, che si sposa bene con il sapore dei frutti di mare. Io l’ho degustata dopo un’ostrica con il limone, quindi in condizioni di palato particolari. Bottle. A hazy cloudy yellow colour with not much of a head. Malty sweet aroma, the taste has a slight spicy wheat taste, with a dry sweet finish.
