2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cask @ Nairn Beer Festival
Amber, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma - butterscotch, soft pale buttery caramel, light sweet toffee, diacetyl
Taste of pale caramel malts, soft toffee, rather bitter hops which come across as rather rough, unbalanced, bit better flavour than the aroma
Palate - Medium body, sweet bit syrupy caramel, bitter hops. Finish very dry, harsh bitter bit metallic finish
Overall - Not good at all...no more for me thanks

Sister-in-law from Dundee brought me five bottles of this pale ale which she acquired via a friend.
Slightly cloudy amber coloured ale. Thin head which dissipates quickly. Good amount of lacing.
Quite dry on the palate with roasted malt foretaste followed by a long delicious, bitter hoppy finish.
For me it was best served quite cold
Sediment! After the first bottle, I poured the rest gently through a fine tea strainer LOL! Didn’t want a bad case of Delhi belly.
Over all not a bad beer.
