Cask at Tanners Hall JDW Darlington. Clear golden amber colour, creamy white head with lots of lacing and a malty sour mash aroma. Taste is malt, biscuit, citrus hops with some bitterness. Smooth, medium body, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Slightly hazy orange colour, mediumsized beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is grassy, herbal, hayish and mild bready maltyness. Flavour is bigtime bitterness with mild yeasty and malty notes along with some grass and mild earthyness as well. Rather bitter finish.

Slightly weak appearance but a fine creamy head hides an extremely hopped ale, especially in its taste.

Bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk. Pale yellow/amber with virtually no head. Faint floral, hoppy aroma. Tastes full bodied, very dry and very bitter so it wonít win any prizes for drinkability. Grapefruit, grassy, citrus, just not one ounce of sweetness. Itís like drinking sandpaper but I think I like it - itís just not quite to my taste.

50cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Hazy gold with one finger white head. Aroma is grassy hops. A resiny hops flavor that goes slightly sour at the end. A full-bodied ale that leaves a lasting hops finish. Nice.

Pint at the Boathouse in Wylam. Poured slightly hazy golden colour with a grapefruit aroma. Loads of sharp fruit flavour, refreshing, with a pleasantly astringent finish. A truly lovely beer.

Very pale but surprisingly malty sweet in aroma. Lots of tropical fruit on top tho. And this carries in to the flavour, which is perfectly balanced. As an English IPA this definitely stands out from the crowd.

Cask at Newcastle Beer Festival. Pale gold with a thin white head. Hop smell. Lime and grapefruit. Mouthfeel nice and light. Grapefruit. Zest. Had a bit of hop
Flower in it. Not a nice surprise. Finish not as bitter as expected.
