Cask at Roscoe Head, Liverpool. Straw, a very slight natural head. Tart grapefruit/lemon aroma. A bit of lagery grain but the citrus hop dominates. Surprisingly bitter/sour taste, mouth-puckering long sour-bitter finish., like sour lemon drops. A decent if ’safe’ golden beer.

Cask Lady Grey’s Newcastle. Low fruity aroma. Soft and sweet on the tongue, with a light bitter tang in the finish. Don’t think I caught this in the best condition

This is good beer. Perfectly balanced, it’s everything that a blonde ale should be, and nothing more.
