Cask Lady Grey’s Newcastle. Low fruity aroma. Soft and sweet on the tongue, with a light bitter tang in the finish. Don’t think I caught this in the best condition

This is good beer. Perfectly balanced, it’s everything that a blonde ale should be, and nothing more.

Cask at Lady Grey’s, Newcastle. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon citrus and hay. Taste has more of the same, plus bready malt. Not a lot going on really. OK.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a pale hazy straw coloured beer that pours with a large creamy foam head. It has a grassy, herbal and citrus fruity flavour, a creamy mouthfeel and a bitter-sweet, slight woody finish.
